Land in the Dominican is pretty cheap compared to land in other
Caribbean islands. Plots are
generally prices per square
meter, although the original
way of measuring land in the
Dom Rep was by the tarea (which
is 629 square meters, about
0.155 acre). So when looking
at land prices, be sure to
check whether you are looking
at meters, acres or tareas.
The bigger the size of the plot, the cheaper the price will be.
Expect to pay more as with
anywhere for location. Beachfront land is much more expensive
than country plots and is more
scarce. Certainly worth snapping
up if you come accross some
at a reasonable price. If you

and perhaps in a gated community.
